Dashiell, Alfred H., D.D.

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Maryland, August 2, 1793. He graduated at the University of Pennsylvania; was ordained by the Presbytery of Philadelphia; became successively pastor of the Mariners' Church, Philadelphia; of First Church, Jacksonville Illinois; president of a female academy, Nashville, Tennesee; pastor Presbyterian Church, Franklin; for nineteen years at Shelbyville; and finally resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., until his death, March 18, 1881.
