Danavas

Danavas in Hindu mythology, a numerous train of evil spirits, who often caused destructive wars, and were in continual discord with the kingdom of Indra. Twice Vishnu delivered his sovereign from the control of the daemons, and Ihumanta also once came to his assistance.
