Cueuret (or Curet), Pierre

Cueuret (or Curet), Pierre a French theologian, who lived about the middle of the 16th century, was canon of the Church of Mans, and chaplain of the duke of Mayenne, who intrusted him with important matters. He wrote, La Fleur de Predication selon Saint Ephrem (without date), from the Latin of Ambrose the Camaldale. According to La Croix du Maine, we are indebted to Caeuret for the first edition of the Triumphant Mystere des Actes des Apotres, of Arnoul and Simon Criban, published in 1537. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
