Crumpton, Thomas

Crumpton, Thomas an English Baptist minister, was born near Tenbury, Worcestershire, in December 1780, or January 1781. He was baptized about 1800, and, for many years, was officially connected with "The Baptist Itinerant and Missionary Societies," "The Sunday-school Union," and other kindred institutions. In September 1840, he commenced a six years' pastorate at Shrewsbury. He died at Leeds, September 25, 1868. See (Lond.) Baptist Hand-book, 1869, page 138. (J.C.S.)
