Crown, Funeral

Crown, Funeral, was made of leaves and flowers, among the Greeks generally of parsley, which was usually wreathed around the head of a dead person before interment. Floral wreaths were often placed upon the bier, or scattered on the road along which the funeral procession was to pass, or twisted round the urn in which the ashes were contained, or the tomb in which. the remains were laid.
