Creath, William

Creath, William a Baptist minister, was born in Nova Scotia, December 25, 1768, of Presbyterian parents. He was converted when about seventeen years old, removed to North Carolina at twenty, joined a Baptist Church, and soon after commenced to preach, his labors being greatly blessed. For the last fifteen years of his life he gave himself very largely to itinerant work. He died suddenly at Edenton, N.C., August 11, 1822. See Latter-day Luminary, 4:63. (J.C.S.)
