Cowing, Charles

Cowing, Charles a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Lyman, N.H., November 19, 1796. He was converted in 1818; licensed to exhort in 1824, to preach in 1827, and in 1828 entered the New England Conference, wherein he remained effective, with but a three years' intermission as superannuate, until 1852, when he again became superannuated, and thus continued until his death, in May, 1869.
