Cotron, Victor

Cotron, Victor a French Benedictine of the congregation of St. Maur, was born at Rheims in 1614. His diligence as a student reflected honor upon his order, and he wrote the history of several abbeys, especially those of St. Germain of Auxerre, and St. Benedict-on -the-Loire, which remain in MS. He died March 10, 1674, at the abbey of St. Riquier, of which he was prior. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
