Coppola, Giovanni Carlo

Coppola, Giovanni Carlo an Italian prelate and poet of the first half of the 17th century, was a native of Gallipoli, and became bishop of Muro in 1643. He lived five years on intimate terms with Campanella, and wrote some poems, for which see Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
