Cooper, Preston

Cooper, Preston a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Warren County, Tennessee, December 29, 1806. He was converted in 1827, and in 1828 united with the Mississippi Conference. His health failing, obliged him to become a superannuate in 1857, and he died in July 1858. Mr. Cooper was a man of extraordinary mental ability, and a laborious student; a courageous preacher, and an energetic pastor. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M.E.
