Cooper, John (5)

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in England. He emigrated to Woodstock, Conn., in early manhood, for the purpose of engaging in a special branch of woollen manufacture; was there converted in 1842; began earnest Christian work at once; was licensed to preach in 1843, and admitted into the Providence Conference, wherein he labored with zeal and fidelity to the close of his life, October 18, 1878.
