Collins, Benjamin a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Sussex County, N.J., in 1785. In1819 he joined the Philadelphia Conference, in which he remained energetic and faithful until his death, in August, 1831. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1833, page 162.
