Clerk, William (2), a Scotch clergyman, took his degree at Edinburgh University in 1595; was presented as the first Protestant minister at Cavers in 1599, admitted in 1601, transferred to Wilton in 1602, and died before April 30, 1641. See Fasti Eccles. Scoticanae, i, 489, 516.
