Clephane, Thomas (2), a Scotch clergyman, son of the minister at Newtyle was born Dee. 28, 1700; licensed to preach in 1730, and the same year succeeded his father in the living at Newtyle; was ordained in 1731, and died Oct. 8, 1769, aged sixty-eight years. See Fasti Eccles. Scoticance, 3:758.
