Ciccione, Andrea

Ciccione, Andrea a reputable Italian architect, who flourished in the former part of the 15th century, studied in the school of Masuccio the younger, where he obtained considerable distinction. Among other good works, he erected the famous monastery and church of Monte Oliveto. He also designed the third cloister of San Severino, in the Ionic order, and the small Church of the Pontano, near the Pietra Santa. He died about 1440. See Spooner, Biog.
