Chum, Thomas

Chum, Thomas a learned layman of the 17th century, who lived at Alfriston, Sussex, published in 11635 a small manual entitled Collectiones Theologicarurn Conclusionum. Some have much opposed it, although they commend the brevity and clearness of his positions, and others welcomed it from a layman at once able and industrious in theological learning. See Fuller, Worthies of England (ed. Nuttall), 3:258.
