Carvalho, Antonio

Carvalho, Antonio a Portuguese theologian of the Jesuit order, was born at Lisbon in 1590. He was professor of theology and philosophy at Evora, then at Coimbra, and died in 1650, leaving Si Conviene que los Predicadores Reprehendan Principes y Ministros (Lisbon, 1627): — Commentaria upon the Summa of Thomas Aquinas.
