Carpones

Carpones was a presbyter of Alexandria, a rival preacher to Arius, afterwards excommunicated along with him, A.D. 319, and was his companion in exile at Nicomedia, where he signed his letter to Alexander. At a later date he was deputed by Gregory of Cappadocia to pope Julius.
