Caraccioli, Antonio, an Italian theologian of the .17th century, entered the order of the Theatines, and distinguished himself by numerous works upon ecclesiastical history, among them, Synopsis Vetesrum Religiosoruns Rituum (Rome, 1610; Paris, 1628):-Collectanea Vitac Pauli, B Cajetani et Socri-rum Vitce (Cologne, .1612) :-Biga Illustrium Controversiorum, etc. (Naples, 1618):-Nomenclator et Propylea in Quatuor Antiquos
