Cantova, Giovanni Antonio

Cantova, Giovanni Antonio, an Italian missionary and theologian of the Jesuit order, a native of Milan, lived in the early half of the 18th century. In 1717 he went as missionary to Mexico, then to the Philippines and to the Carolinas, where he was finally assassinated. He wrote, Vita et Mors Aloisii Cantovce Canon. S.
