Camillo, Francisco

Camillo, Francisco, a reputable Spanish historical painter, was born at Madrid about 1635 (others say 1610), of a Florentine family, and studied under Pedro de las Cuevas. One of his best pictures is in the Church of San Juan Dios, at Madrid, the Nuestra Senora de Belem. Some of his other works are, The Descent from the. Cross; St. Mary of Egypt before the Virgin.
