Camenae (or Camcenaee)

Camenae (Or Camcenaee), in Roman mythology, were spring nymphs endowed with prophetic gifts among certain ancient Italian nations. To them belonged Carmenta and Egeria. Their worship in. a grove at Rome had been instituted by Numa. The name was afterwards, given to the Muses of the Greeks.
