Doneg. and Tallaght put Cairell bishop of Tir-Rois, and .the former adds, from the Life of St. Colman Ela, that bishop Carell was along with him when he went to LannEla, in the end of the 6th century. This must be .Carellus, son of Nessan, of Leinster descent, who is the -contemporary. of Sts. Colman Ela, and Senan, and the bishop at Tir-Rois. See .Colgan, Acta Sanctorum, p. 611.
