Byrne, Claudius a Wesleyan Methodist minister in Canada, was born in Dublin, Ireland, May 12, 1793. He was converted in his thirteenth year; entered the Wesleyan ministry in Ireland in 1824; was transferred from the Irish to the Canadian branch of the Wesleyan -Church in 1848; and in the latter he labored effectively six years, and twenty-two as a supernumerary. He died Oct. 5,1876, at Fairfield, Ont., where he had lived since 1854.
