Button, George

Button, George an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Rotherham, Yorkshire, in 1754. He. united with the Church in youth; was called into the ministry in 1779, and continued in its labors until his death, at Shaftesbury, in 1822. " He was remarkable for selfdenial, plainness, abstraction from the world, and devotion to God." See Minutes of the British Conference, 1822.
