Buno (or Bunon), Johann
Buno (Or Bunon), Johann a German Protestant philologist and theologian, was born in 1617 at Frankenburg, in Hesse. In 1653 he became rector of the school of St. Michael at Luneburg, professor of history and geography in 1660, and of theology in 1672. He died in 1697. He wrote an abridgment of the great work of Cluver, entitled Cluverii Italia, Sicilia, et Germania Contracta (Wolfeibiuttel, 1663). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
