Bruley, Peter

Bruley, Peter a Reformation martyr, was a preacher in the French Church at Strasburg, who came down to visit the lower countries about Artois and Dornick in Flanders, where he preached the word of God to the people. Here he was taken and committed to prison, and while there wrote many beautiful letters to his friends. He remained in prison four months, and was then burned at Dornick in 1545. See Fox, Acts and Monuments, 4:386.
