Brugman (or Brugmans), John

Brugman (Or Brugmans), John a Flemish preacher, was a member of the Franciscan order of the diocese of Cologne, and obtained a great reputation for his eloquence. He taught theology in the convent of St. Omer, was afterwards provincial, and died at Nimeguen in 1473. He wrote, Vita S. Lidvinae Virginis (Schiedam, 1498). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
