Bronson, Abraham

Bronson, Abraham, a Protestant Episcopal minister, was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, April 11, 1778. He was educated at Cheshire Academy, Connecticut, and ordained deacon by bishop Jarvis, on Christmas-day, 1799. For two years he was assistant to Rev. Mr. Deholl, at Newport, R.I., when he was ordained presbyter, and removed to Manchester, Vermont, where he remained thirty years. He went to Ohio in 1833; and, two years after, settled in Peninsula, continuing there until 1846, when he supplied the parish at Wakeman, and others in its vicinity. He died at Franklin Mills, Ohio, June 12, 1853. He was hlighly esteemed as an authority in regard to the history of his own church. See Amer. Quar. Church Rev. 1853, page 463.
