Brock, John R.

a minister of the Reformed (Dutch) Church, graduated at Rutgers College in 1859, and at New Brunswick Seminary in 1862. He was licensed by the Classis of Passaic in the same year, and served as pastor of the Church at West New Hempstead from 1862 to 1866, and Spring Valley from 186.6 to 1868. He was thereafter without charge until the time of his death, which occurred in 1872. He was a man who tried to serve his people, the Church, and his God faithfully. See Corwin, Manual of the Ref.
