Bricin an Irish saint of Tuaim Drecain, commemorated September 5, was of the race of Tadhg, son of Cian, and had at Tuaim Drecain a famous college, consisting of three distinct schools — poetry, general Gaedhelic learning, and the classics. Among other pupils, St. Bricin had the most remarkable man of his age, Cennfaeladh, "the learned."
