Brady, John Irwin

Brady, John Irwin a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, November 10, 1831. He joined the Church in his fifteenth year; received license to preach in 1854; and in 1855 united with the Pittsburgh Conference. In 1862 he volunteered in the Ninety-seventh Regiment Ohio Volunteers, and was commissioned first lieutenant of Company B. Hardship and exposure in the army brought on consumption, on which account he was honorably discharged. He died soon afterwards, victorious, amid great and protracted sufferings.
