Boyd, Charles Henry

Boyd, Charles Henry a Congregational teacher and minister, was born at Francestown, N. H., Nov. 4, 1836. He studied at the academy in his native village. and graduated at Dartmouth in 1858. After teaching a year in Washington city, he was tutor of mathematics in his alma mater for another year, and then entered Andover Theological Seminary, and, on graduating, went to assist Rev. Dr. Bond, of Norwich, Conn. In 1864 he was ordained pastor of the Church at Mystic Bridge, Stonington, and here he toiled so severely that in a year he was compelled to desist from preaching, and he died at Manchester, N. H., Jan. 5, 1866. See Cong. Quarterly, 1866, p. 209.
