Bowman, Samuel, Dd

Bowman, Samuel, D.D., a minister of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was rector of St. James's Church at Lancaster, Pa., thirty-four years, and for three years prior to his death was assistant bishop of the diocese of Pennsylvania. He died suddenly, Aug. 3, 1861. He was highly esteemed for purity and amiability of character. See Record of the Class of 1845 of Yale Coll., p. 21.
