Borras, Francisco Nicolas

Borras, Francisco Nicolas, a Spanish historical painter and priest, was born at Cocentayna in 1530. He studied under Juanes at Valencia, and executed the great altar-piece of the monastery of San Jeronimo of Gaudia. Several of his paintings are at the Escurial, at Antiniente, at Aldaya, at Cocentayna, and Valencia. He died in 1610.
