Bordone Paris

Bordone. Paris, a distinguished painter of the Venetian school, was born at Treviso in 1500. There are many of his works in the churches and public edifices at Venice, Milan, Genoa, and Florence. His most important works are the Ring of St. Mark in St. Mark's at Venice, and the dome of San Vinicenzio, at Treviso, containing in six compartments, the Annunciation, the Nativity, the Adoration of the Magi, the Crucifixion, the Ascension, and the Assumption of the Virgin.
