Bonney, Samuel W

Bonney, Samuel W., a Presbyterian minister, was born at New Canaan, Conn., March 8, 1815. He was educated at the University of New York city, and studied theology in Lane Seminary, Ohio. He was ordained by the Cincinnati Presbytery April 6, 1856. On leaving the seminary he was sent as a missionary to China, where he labored earnestly till his death, in Canton, July, 27, 1864.
