Boger, George

Boger, George, a German Reformed minister, was born in North Carolina, Dec. 15, 1782. In early life he was admitted to the Church, and in 1798 was ordained and received as a member of the Synod of Carlisle, Pa. During the year 1818 he preached at Rowan and Cabarras, in North Carolina. While in that state, a period of twenty years, he preached 308 funeral sermons, baptized 1919 children, confirmed 607 persons, and solemnized 301 marriages. After living many years in retirement, he died June 19, 1865. See Harbaugh, Fathers of the Germ. Ref Church, 4:41.
