Bobolenus was a German monk, who wrote the Life of St. German, the abbot of Grandval, diocese of Basle, who suffered martyrdom at the hands of duke Boniface, in A.D. 666 (given by Bollandus, Feb. 21, 3, 263, and by Mabillon, Acta Bened. i, 511).
