Blesilla

Blesilla daughter of Paula and sister of Eustochium, in the 4th century, having lost her husband soon; after marriage, was induced by Jerome to become an ascetic. He greatly extols her learning. She died in early youth, and her funeral caused a tumult against the monks, her death being attributed to her austerities. It was at her request that Jerome began his translation ot Ecclesiastes.
