Birley George an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Bradwell, Derbyshire, Nov. 22, 1788. He united with the Church in his twenty-first year, was received into the itinerancy in 1812, retired in 1857, and died at Market-Rasen, May 18, 1867. Mr. Birle's sermons were plain, faithful expositions, indicating vigor of thought and careful preparation. In labors, he was more abundant; in piety, practical; and in reading, indefatigable.
