Bidwell, Oliver B.

a Presbyterian minister, was born in 1827. He was a graduate of Yale College and of the New Haven Seminary. His first charge was Hubbardstown. He was ten years engaged in executing sectional maps of all the missions of the American Board, and devoted considerable time in aiding the circulation of the National Preacher. He served a number of years as pastor of several churches. His last pastoral work was in connection with the Presbyterian Church, Jersey City Heights, where his labors were attended with marked success. He died there Aug. 5, 1881. See (N. Y.)
