Bianchi, Pietro a Roman, painter, was born in 1694, and first studied under Baciccio and then under Benedetto Luti. A few of his pictures are found in the churches at Rome. At Gubbio is his picture of St. Clara, with the Angel. He painted a picture for the Church of St. Peter's that was so excellent that it was copied in mosaic in the altar of the choir. He died in 1740. See Spooner, Biog. Hist. of the Fine Arts, s.v.; Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Gen., s.v.
