Bevans, John a theological writer of the Society of Friends. He wrote: A Defence of the Christian Doctrines of the Society of Friends against the Charge of Socinianism (Lond. 1805): — A brief View of the Doctrines of the Christian Religion as professed by the Society of Friends (Lond. 1811): — A Vindication of the Authenticity of the Narratives contained in the first two Chapters of the Gospel of St. Matthew and St. Luke (Lond. 1822). The latter work is directed against the objections of the editors of the Unitarian version of the New Testament.
