Bergalli Carlo an Italian scholar and theologian of the order of Conventual Minorites, a native of Palermo, distinguished himself as a preacher, he taught philosophy and theology in the convents of his order. He died at Palermo, Nov. 17, 1679, leaving De Objecto Philosophice (Perugia, 1649). Davidiade, an Italian epic poem, is also attributed to him. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
