Benson, Benjamin

Benson, Benjamin a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born Dec. 6, 1807. He embraced religion in 1827; received license to exhort in 1828, and in 1830 entered the Philadelphia Conference. He filled various appointments faithfully until 1836, when a pulmonary disease induced him to visit the South. He died at Cambridge, Md., in October, 1840.
