Bennett, William C.

a German Reformed minister, was born on Long Island, N. Y., April 14, 1804. His early life was devoted chiefly to the missionary cause in the South. In 1834 he began his ministerial labors. In 1837 he came North and took charge of a congregation at Shippenburg, Pa., which he continued to serve until 1844. He died at Boiling Spring, Pa., April 12, 1870. See Harbaugh, Fathers of the Germ.
