Bellievre, Albert a French prelate, elder son of Pomponne de Bellievre, chancellor of France, was made archbishop of Lyons in 1599. During his episcopate the convent of the Church of Ste. Clare was founded by Louise de Langes. Having fallen into a state of imbecility in 1602, he resigned his office, and died in 1621. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
