Bebel, Balthasar

Bebel, Balthasar, a Protestant theologian, was born at Strasburg in 1632. In 1661 he was made professor of theology at his native place; in 1662 he received the degree of doctor of divinity; and in 1686 he was called as professor and general superintendent to Wittenberg, where he died, Oct. 2, 1686.
