Bassol (or De Bassolis), John

Bassol (Or De Bassolis), John, a Scotch Franciscan, called by the schoolmen Doctor Ornatissimus, lived in the 14th century, and was a disciple of Duns Scotus, with whom he went to Paris in 1304. In 1322 he went to Brabant, and died there in 1347. He wrote a commentary on Peter Lombard's four books of Sentences, printed in 1517, and some. smaller works.
